Maria Jones

Maria Jones began her training at the Italia Conti Academy of Performing Arts and then later went on to study singing at the Royal Northern College of Music. Maria has the rarest of Mezzo voices enabling her to perform specialist Handelian heroines.



A versatile performer, Maria's career has taken her from Europe to America and Japan. She has performed numerous principal roles such as Phoebe in Yeomen of the Guard, Iolanthe and Pitti Sing in the Mikado for the renowned D'oyly Carte Opera at the Savoy theatre London.

Maria has also performed the roles of Suzy in La Rondine and Mme Dangeville in Adriana Lecouvreur for Holland Park Opera London. Equally at home in the smokey Jazz repertoire, Maria's performances bring together her talents as a dancer, actress and singer providing a truly dynamic performance.

Maria enjoys the combination of a performing and teaching career. She brings to her teaching her vast experience as a performer in a practical way. Her style of teaching is dynamic and encorporates freedom of breath, relaxation and confidence building in a fun and enjoyable way.
