Heather ExleyHeather Exley, soprano, studied singing with soprano, Margaret Field at Sheffield University where she gained a Bachelor Degree in Music and at the Royal Academy of Music with Mark Wildman. Further vocal studies have been with David Harper and Jacqueline Bremar.

On stage, Heather has an extensive repertoire having performed the title roles in Handel?s Semele, Massenet?s Cendrillon and Puccini?s Suor Angelica, Nedda (Pagliacci), Rosario (Goyescas), Mimi (La Boheme), Pamina (Magic Flute), Donna Anna (Don Giovanni), Susanna (The Marriage of Figaro), Titania (Fairy Queen), Marenka (Bartered Bride), Edwige (Robinson

Crusoe), Isolier (Count Ory), Polly Peachum (Beggar?s Opera), Nanetta (Falstaff), Adele (Die Fledermaus), Mabel (Pirates of Penzance), Josephine (HMS Pinafore), Gretel (Hansel & Gretel) and Emmie (Albert Herring).

She has also performed at ENO (St John Passion), The Tower of London Festival (Anna Bolena) and at the Pendley Manor Shakespeare Festival (The Taming of the Shrew).

Heather is an active recitalist including broadcasts for local BBC and independent radio and recitals throughout the UK including the Brighton Festival, Southwark Cathedral, Blackheath Concert Halls and Burgh House accompanied by Rachel Fuller. As a soloist she has sung with choral and music societies across the UK and performed in a number of opera galas with tenor, Dominic Natoli performing classical and popular repertoire from opera, music theatre and film accompanied by Alex Ingram and Roger Vignoles.

Heather is a Licensed Singing Teacher at the Bexley Academy of Music & Performing Arts where she enjoys working with young musicians, dancers and drama students and adults across a wide range of styles. Many students progress to full time studies in performing arts and careers in their chosen field.
