Christine studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. in London, and after winning prizes for opera and for german lieder singing, she specialised in french song in St Jean de Luz before further studies took her to Vienna. On her return to England she worked with the New Sadlers Wells Opera and Glyndebourne Festival Opera. Opera success included working with Sir Charles Mckerras, Sir Edward Downes and Sir Simon Rattle at Royal Opera House, at English National Opera; Opera North, Glyndebourne Festival Opera, Hebel Theatre in Berlin, Opera Zuid, Pocket Opera Nuremburg and Opera Factory London. For Raymond Gubbay at the Royal Albert Hall she has sung Aida and Santuzza and also Agrafena in the world premier of A Family Affair at the Almeida Festival for ENO Contemporary Opera Studio. Her teaching career began when she was herself still a student, and now she has built up an impressive list of private pupils.
