Charlotte Way PDF Print E-mail

Charlotte WayCharlotte Way studied piano with Ruth Gerald at the Birmingham Conservatoire, where she was awarded two scholarships, and gained diplomas in piano and singing teaching.
She then went on to Goldsmith's College, London University, to study for a B. Mus. Her career has spanned performance as a soloist and an accompanist, and she has extensive teaching experience, having taught at Alleyn's School, Dulwich, for many years, and maintained a private practice including many adult students.

In recent years she has resumed piano studies with Paul Roberts, Professor of Piano at Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and has also completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Continuing Professional Development, focusing on learning to run community music projects.

She is also a very experienced choral singer and is now director of Young Voices children's choir. She has studied Alexander Technique for many years with an advanced trainer and finds that this is a valuable resource in her teaching. Charlotte's teaching style is sympathetic and supportive; she has a particular interest in working with adults and exploring the ways in which learning music can aid focus and creativity.
