Peter Shelley studied the Saxophone at The London College of Music under Jim Hastings and Glen Martin.Whilst studying, Peter was awarded the London College of Music Woodwind Prize and the Eddie Harvey Jazz prize. Since Graduating from Music College in 1999 Peter has been performing across the world with a variety of ensembles. Highlights include: The Ealing Jazz Festival, The Show bands of Holland America Cruise Line. The Queen Elizabeth2, and the South African leg of the world tour of the 1960s show ?Reelin and a Rockin?. Peter has gained teaching experience working as a Peripatetic Music teacher for the Northamptonshire Music Service and coaching the very successful county youth Jazz bands. Peter has also been involved with many Jazz and improvisation workshops in the London area, in association with Professor Eddie Harvey. At the present time Peter is busy playing Tenor Saxophone and Clarinet with the Nick Ross Orchestra in many of the country?s leading theatres and is a teacher of woodwind at the St Bedes School.
