Rachel Smith

Rachel Smith
Read music at Royal Holloway, University of London and continued her studies with Peter Lloyd at the Royal Northern College of Music. She now performs regularly in London and across the UK in recital and freelances with various orchestras, including the West End Theatre and recordings for BBC Radio. Recent performances include the Reinecke Flute Concerto, Bach Suite in B Minor with the Musicians of All Saints and the premiere of Paul Carr’s 2nd Flute Concerto with Clifton Camerata in the 2002 Brighton Festival.

James Dutton
James Dutton was born in 1969, and started playing the flute at the age of 10, learning first with Kenneth Bell, and Clare Southworth. He attended the International Summer School several times, studying with Trevor Wye and the late Geoffrey Gilbert.

Louise Whipham

Louise Whipham
Louise began studying the oboe with Caroline Marwood when she was ten. In her school years she gained much orchestral experience, at first with the Goldsmiths Youth Orchestra and National Children's Orchestra of Great Britain. She was principal Oboe of the London Schools Symphony Orchestra for 4 years and has played in the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain. She was also recently principal oboe in the combined Guildhall-Academy orchestra.

Katy Ayling

Katy Ayling
Katy won a scholarship to Trinity whilst in the Sixth Form, and was appointed Principal clarinettist in their Symphony Orchestra for her final year.  She then studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and currently studies with the renowned clarinettists Barnaby Robson and Andrew Webster.

Sara Charles
Sara studied clarinet and composition at
Dartington School Of The Arts then went on to study graduate and performers courses at  The Royal Northern College of Music, as a Clarinettist and Saxophonist achieving a G.R.N.C.M. and a P.P.R.N.C.M. Sara also studied conducting, singing, orchestral arrangement, and The Art of Teaching whilst at the R.N.C.M.

Phillip Mills

Philip Mills
Philip Mills started playing the clarinet in 1976 at the age of eleven. After spending most of his young musical life playing in various wind bands in the Warwickshire area, he successfully passed his audition and enlisted with the Coldstream Guards Band.
