'3play' are a trio of highly experienced musicians who are perfect for all corporate and other entertainment requirements. They are equally at home with jazz (standards or more contemporary jazz, including original material), backing other artists, or playing background music for events with music designed to fit with the specific engagement, and at a volume to suit!

3play Biography

3play are a trio of highly experienced musicians available for both concerts and corporate engagements. They are equally at home performing a jazz programme (standards or more contemporary material) or backing other artists and instrumentalists. 3play can provide background music for events, which include various jazz and light music styles,all performed in an accessible fashion! They can expand their trio to a larger ensemble by adding brass/woodwind or tuned percussion (vibes and Latin American percussion). Vocalists can also be added who can cover an equally wide range of styles including Jazz, Classical, Opera, Pop and Musical Theatre as required. One of 3Plays combinations (known as CD Jazz) is in form of a George Shearing style Quintet using the piano trio plus Vibraphone and Guitar using authentic transcriptions from Shearing?s library as well as more contemporary jazz styles. For corporate or commercial work music can be written, transcribed or arranged to order (including lyrics for vocal work).

The John Betjeman Centenary Gala 2006 attended by H.R.Hs The Prince of Wales & the Duchess of Cornwall at The Prince of Wales Theatre in London?s West End presented by Barry Humphries. Clive Dunstall musically directed the evening, and with 3Play, principally accompanied Ronnie Corbett but also played for the entire all star celebrity cast including Hugh Grant, Joanna Lumley, Jools Holland and Stephen Fry.

Corporate Functions
3play has played at many London Hotels for various corporate functions including Caf? Royal (Piccadilly), Hilton (Park Lane), Mandarin (Knightsbridge), Millennium Gloucester (Kensington). 3Play have also played in various musical combinations (from solo piano to sextet) for several Cameron Mackintosh opening night and anniversary parties, including Les Miserables, Phantom Of The Opera and Avenue Q.

Jazz Clubs
3play have performed at several jazz venues including The BBC jazz club and have backed several jazz artists including Marlene Ber Planck, Jacqui Hicks, Gary Williams and Catherine Gang.
