I have been working as an electric and double bass player over the last 25 years primarily in jazz and improvised music, but also in pop, folk, drum and bass and funk; as well as composing music for TV drama, commercials and theatre.

My teaching experience dates back over 15 years. I gained a post-graduate Certificate in Teaching Music to Adults from Goldsmiths College in 1993. In the same year I ran a Composition Workshop at Amhurst College in Massachusetts. Since 1994 I have been a lecturer in the Music Department at Lewisham College, running the BTEC National Diploma in Music Practice (vocational A level) since 2001. I teach composition, theory, performance, music technology, music business, improvisation, keyboards, electric bass, guitar and drums.

As a performer and composer I have had a long association with maverick drummer and singer Charles Hayward in a wide variety of projects including Carol Singing, Wrong Hand Writing, The Out of Body Orchestra and over the last two years in Shape Moreton (upcoming European tour in April and CD release later in the year).

Other current collaborations include Heart n? Soul Unplugged (tour to South Korea Oct 2006) / Bucket ? improvising trio with Arnold Lane (drums) and Paul Hood (turntables) / Instrumental recording project with Frank Byng due for release in summer 2007 on the Slowfoot label.
I am also performing and recording with two singer-songwriters, Brian Foley and Jay Scott.

Discography includes album releases ? ?Speak? with Pinski Zoo (1984) / ?Goodbye America? with Ordinary Man (EMI 1987) / ?My Secret Alphabet?(1993) with Charles Hayward, and own release ?Pan Integral?(1999).
